PURPOSE: A gravure coating apparatus is provided to uniformly control spreading thickness in a longitudinal direction and transversal direction of a polyester film and to remedy shortcomings of conventional gravure spreading apparatus of slot die type and wire bar type. CONSTITUTION: A gravure coating apparatus has an idler(2) which controls tension of a film before driving a gravure roller(3) and a spiral roller(1) which prevents or compensate deformation of a film being driven, to uniformly coating one side of the film with an aqueous functional resin at a constant thickness, in a longitudinal direction and transversal direction. An electric motor with a capacity of 3X440V and 60Hz is connected to the spiral roller through a gear box. The aqueous functional resin is formed of a polymer resin. The solid phase content of the aqueous functional resin is 1-255. The viscosity of the aqueous functional resin is 1-15 cps. The coating liquid is spread by a reverse direct gravure coating method. |
