PULSED FIBER LASER

PURPOSE: A pulse type optical fiber laser is provided to obtain a mode locked pulse or a Q switching pulse signal as oscillating a number of wavelengths at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An isolator(30) circulates an optical signal along one direction in an erbium-doped optical fiber(10) which is a gain medium optical fiber. A laser diode(20) pumps the optical signal to the erbium-doped optical fiber. An all optical fiber phase modulator(40) shifts a Doppler frequency in a laser optical signal by modulating the length of a resonator periodically. A Fabry-Perot periodic filter(50) filters a multi-wavelength pulse signal outputted from the all optical fiber phase modulator. A band pass filter(60) filters spectrum of the optical signal generated in the erbium-doped optical fiber.
