<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a circadian rhythm disorder by adjusting a circadian rhythm cycle, a fundamental therapy for a disease caused by the circadian rhythm disorder, and an established cell line suitable for screening substance that can adjust the circadian rhythm cycle. <P>SOLUTION: An agent for improving circadian rhythm disorder, or a medical composition for preventing and treating a disease caused by the circadian rhythm disorder, contains a substance acting as an activating agent or an inhibitor of protein kinase C.
