<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that operability for a user is deteriorated due to operation of determining rolls of devices when rolls of a providing device and a receiving device have not been determined in advance. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device includes: providing means for providing a communication parameter to a receiving device; receiving means for receiving the communication parameter from a providing device; retrieving means for retrieving another communication device according to the user operation; and setting means for setting a roll of the communication device as the providing device or the receiving device by using first information included in a signal transmitted from the other communication device which has been retrieved and second information stored by the communication device.
