<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallo-β-lactamase inhibitor which acts as a medicament for inhibiting the inactivation of a β-lactam antibiotic and recovering the antibacterial activity. <P>SOLUTION: A compound represented by the formula used together with the β-lactam antibiotic can inhibit the inactivation of the β-lactam antibiotic to metallo-β-lactamase producing bacteria and recover the antibacterial activity, (wherein, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>indicates a hydroxy group, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, or a saturated or unsaturated heterocycle; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>indicates a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>indicates a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a halogen atom, an amino group or a piperidine ring; and M<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and M<SP POS="POST">2</SP>indicate each a hydrogen atom, a pharmaceutically acceptable cation, or a pharmaceutically acceptable and in vivo hydrolyzable group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
