<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for euthanasia of animals capable of suitably selecting three types of disposing methods by: only using carbon dioxide, only using anesthetic gas, and using both carbon dioxide and anesthetic gas, when euthanizing an animal depending on the animal to be subjected. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for euthanasia of animals includes: a disposal chamber (12); a heater for disposal chamber for heating the disposal chamber (12); a carbon dioxide cylinder (4) for supplying the carbon dioxide to the disposal chamber (12); a carburetor (C) for supplying anesthetic gas to the disposal chamber (12); an air supply passage (33) for supplying air to the disposal chamber (12); and a control unit for controlling supply of the carbon dioxide, the anesthetic gas, and the air. The control unit includes a mode for supplying only the carbon dioxide to the disposal chamber (12), a mode for supplying the anesthetic gas and subsequently supplying the carbon dioxide to the disposal chamber (12); and a mode for supplying only the anesthetic gas to the disposal chamber (12). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
