The objective of the present invention is to provide: a method that is for producing an organic EL panel and that suppresses damage to an organic EL element during pressure contact, reduces the time necessary for pressure contact and curing, and of which changing the setup is easy; and a device for sealing an organic EL panel. The method for producing an organic EL panel includes: an application step for applying a filler, a moisture absorbing agent, a sealing agent, and an affixing agent to a position of a sealing substrate opposite the position of an element; a positioning step for positioning an element substrate and the sealing substrate; a heating step for heating the sealing substrate; a defoaming step for removing gas incorporated in the filler and the like; a pressure contact step for causing pressure contact between the element substrate and the sealing substrate by means of a pair of press platens; a gas introduction step that causes the periphery of the pressure-contacted element substrate and sealing substrate to be an atmospheric-pressure environment; a provisional affixation step for provisionally affixing the element substrate and the sealing substrate by radiating ultraviolet rays at the affixing agent by means of a spot ultraviolet ray lamp; and a seal curing step that cures the sealing agent by radiating ultraviolet rays at the sealing agent. |
