<p>A composite IC card equipped with: a card base member having a recessed part; an antenna sheet arranged in the interior of the card base member; and an IC module arranged within the recessed part of the card base member. The IC module has: an IC chip equipped with both a contact-type transmission function and a noncontact-type transmission function; a module substrate on which external terminals, which are contact-type transmission elements, are formed; and a first connecting coil, which is a noncontact transmission mechanism. The antenna sheet has: an antenna coil with which power is received from and signals are exchanged with an external reading device; and a second connecting coil connected to the antenna coil. The first connecting coil and the second connecting coil are arranged so as to be capable of closely interconnecting, and the IC module and the antenna sheet are formed so as to be capable of connecting in a noncontact manner by means of transformer-coupling. The second connecting coil of the antenna sheet is arranged farther to the outside than the region in which the recessed part of the card base member is formed.</p> |
