<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make ultrasonic waves selectively act on an intended area. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic treatment instrument includes: a columnar ultrasonic vibrator 5 for generating ultrasonic vibrations of different vibration modes by applying alternating voltages of different frequencies; a probe 3 in which one end is connected to the ultrasonic vibrator 5 and which is extended in the longitudinal direction of the ultrasonic vibrator 5; and a holding part 8 capable of holding the ultrasonic vibrator 5 at the position of the node of the ultrasonic vibrations in the respective vibration modes. Also, an ultrasonic treatment apparatus includes: the ultrasonic treatment instrument; a voltage supply part for supplying the alternating voltages of the different frequencies to the ultrasonic vibrator 5; and a vibration mode selection means for alternatively selecting the alternating voltage to be supplied to the ultrasonic vibrator 5 by the voltage supply part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
