The present invention relates to a stiffening plate for a pressurized vessel which can reduce the weight and manufacturing costs of a tank for storing and transporting liquid gas, and to the tank for storing and transporting liquid gas manufactured by using the stiffening plate. According to the present invention, the outer skin of the stiffening plate is wrinkled so that the sectional shape thereof is a wrinkled pattern of one selected from a concave roof tile, an arc, a semicircular shape, a semielliptical shape, a trapezoid, and a polygon. Thus, not only is the bending moment (when the outer skin is shaped like an arc, concave roof tile, semicircle, or semiellipse) generated on the outer skin by an internal pressure on the stiffening plate converted to a hoop stress (when the outer skin is shaped like a trapezoid or a polygon) and the bending stress significantly reduced, the height of the aggregate, as compared with that of a conventional stiffening plate, may be increased by the height of the arc of the outer skin, and the stress distribution of the outer skin, as compared with that of a conventional stiffening plate which exhibits shear lag, is uniform due to the outer skin having a flat plate shape. Thus, since the outer skin and the aggregate are increased in strength, thereby widening the installation distance of the aggregate and the strength beams as compared with that of a conventional stiffening plate, the number of installed aggregates and beams may be reduced, and bending, which occurs at the outer skin, of the plate may be prevented. In addition, buckling strength may be increased so as to reduce the manufacturing costs of the tank for storing and transporting liquid gas, and the stiffening plate may be improved in terms of efficiency as a structural member.
