PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device able to shorten the time for which a rotating direction is detected, while achieving a cost reduction.
SOLUTION: If the time difference between the timing of detecting a luminous flux deflected by a rotary polygon mirror and the timing of outputting a detection signal from a magnetic detection element 5 is within a predetermined range, a CPU 1 determines that a motor is normally rotating. If the time difference is not within the predetermined range, the CPU 1 determines that the motor is reversely rotating. This eliminates the need for a detection circuit for detecting a three-phase induction voltage, cost can be reduced. Further, the need to detect an induction voltage for each of the three phases is eliminated. Accordingly, simply detecting the time difference is enough, thus making it possible to shorten the time taken to detect the rotating direction.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
