<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-Cr seamless steel tube, capable of preventing both of occurrence of material crack, scabs or rash flaw in a piercer boring process and occurrence of seizure in a mandrel mill rolling process when a workpiece is a high-Cr steel. <P>SOLUTION: An induction heating device 8 is installed at the inlet side of a mandrel mill 3 to induction-heat a tube body 11 passing through the inlet side over the whole length. The method for producing the high-Cr seamless steel tube is characterized in that a first heating step is performed within the temperature range of 1,100 to 1,250°C and after boring, the temperature of the tube body 11 is elevated by 30-180°C by the induction heating device 8 to start stretch-rolling at a tube-body temperature of ≥1,030°C using the mandrel mill 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
