PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate similarity of commodities between commodity web pages to improve convenience of users.

SOLUTION: A commodity web page analysis method includes: acquiring a first commodity web page and a second commodity web page (S1); extracting text data described on each commodity web page (S2); subjecting the text data to language analysis and extracting feature word candidates of each commodity web page (S3); creating a retrieval query using the feature word candidates as retrieval keywords and acquiring a retrieval result based on the retrieval query (S4); determining whether or not a category related word exists in snippets of the retrieval result; determining the feature word candidates as feature words when the category related word exists in the snippets (S6); calculating similarity between the first and second commodity web pages on the basis of the feature words (S7); and determining that the first and second commodity web pages handle similar commodities when the similarity is equal to or more than a prescribed value (S8).
