<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire heat source utilizing carbon nanotubes and having high energy conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The wire heat source includes a filamentous support 202, a heating element 204 installed on the filamentous support 202, and two electrodes 206 connected electrically with the heating element 204.
