<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display panel which comes with high definition and high luminance display performance and also can save on power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: In a plasma display panel manufacturing method of the present invention, a deposition material is deposited by evaporation on a front plate to form a protective film, the plasma display panel manufacturing method being characterized in that in X-ray diffraction analysis on the protective film surface, a peak exists between a diffraction angle at which a peak of crystal orientation face (111) of magnesium oxide occurs and a diffraction angle at which a peak of calcium oxide in the same orientation as the former peak occurs, that the calcium concentration of the protective film is 3 to 15 atom%, both ends inclusive, and that the deposition material consists mainly of magnesium oxide and further includes calcium and aluminum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
