<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder and a power consumption reduction method, which can start photographing in a short time while power saving is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: When a digital camera 100 is in a reproduction mode and is not in a slide show mode, a moving image reproduction mode, an image editing mode, and an image feedback reproduction mode, a photographic lens 150 moves to a first power saving mode and operates at an operation clock lower than an operation clock when the photographic lens 150 is in a lens photographing mode, and makes communication with a camera body 110 at lower frequency than communication frequency when the lens is in the lens photographing mode. When the digital camera 100 is in the slide show mode, the moving image reproduction mode, the image editing mode, and the image feedback reproduction mode, the photographic lens 150 moves to a second power saving mode, and does not supply power to all members which the photographic lens 150 has. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
