<p>This illumination device (12) is provided with: a light source (17); a light guide plate (16) having a light incidence surface (16c) which is formed from one edge surface of a plate-shaped member and into which the light from the light source (17) enters, and a light-emitting surface (16a) which is formed from the front-side plate surface of the plate-shaped member and which emits the light entering from the light incidence surface (16c) to the front-side plate surface, the plate-shaped member being formed by placing a second plate-shaped unit (62) on top of a first plate-shaped unit (61) such that the edge surfaces (61d, 62c) thereof abut each other and the plate surfaces (61a, 62a) of each plate-shaped unit are arranged along a roughly vertical direction; a chassis (14) attached to the rear-side plate surface (16b) of the light guide plate (16); and a first engagement part (21) provided to the chassis (14) and for supporting the first plate-shaped unit (61) while the second plate-shaped unit (62) is placed thereon by engaging with the first plate-shaped unit (61).</p> |
