The surface (1) has joints (7) between paving-stones (4) and filled with granular raw material. The joints are formed as flow paths (9) for discharging water between drainage apertures and/or drainage paths and connected with a filter layer (3). Filter material of the filter layer and/or joint filling material (8) consist of granular base material and granular, inorganic aggregate material. The filter material and the filling material are formed for absorption and/or adsorption of heavy metals e.g. lead, zinc, copper, cadmium and/or chromium.
