SELF-REPAIRING COMPOSITES

Self-repairing composites, preparation method and use thereof are provided. The self-repairing composites comprise a binding medium and a plurality of binding medium-repairing particles. The binding medium-repairing particles comprise a reactive material and a shell configured to at least partially encapsulate the reactive material, wherein the reactant is selected to interact with a binding medium to form an aggregate in the presence of an aqueous medium. The self-repairing composites are used for repairing cracks in concrete and enhancing concrete durability.
