Provided are an air conditioning apparatus and air conditioning method using dehumidification through temperature control. The present invention divides a limited space into one or more temperature layers by using the temperatures measured in the limited space, then suctions the air having the highest temperature in the limited space or suctions external air to cool the suctioned air at a temperature less than the lowest temperature, thereby discharging the cooled air into the layer having the lowest temperature so that the humidity within the limited space reaches a set target. Here, the air conditioning apparatus is repeatedly driven and stopped until the inside of the limited space has reached a state of thermal equilibrium. Thus, since the air conditioning apparatus uses natural forces, energy efficiency may be improved and noise may be reduced. In addition, the air conditioning apparatus may prevent condensation and provide eco-friendly effects.
