<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate start-up of every unit of an image forming apparatus by solving a problem in which: it takes a long time for every unit of the image forming apparatus to complete start-up because only a controller quickly starts up and has to be in a waiting state until a printer device starts up. <P>SOLUTION: When a start-up mode of a controller 1 is set (S201), the controller 1 notifies a printer device 4 of the set start-up mode (S202). If the start-up mode of the controller 1 when a switch 10 in turned on (S205) is a quick start-up mode in which the controller 1 starts up quicker than when in a normal start-up mode (Yes in S206), a CPU 41 of the printer device 4 changes an initialization operation of the printer device 4 to control the printer device 4 to quickly start up (S208 to S210). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
