PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for producing an inorganic sintered body excellent in thermally-degradable properties at calcination, wherein a ceramic green sheet can be obtained which has sufficient sheet strength even if made in a thin film when the binder is used especially as the binder for the ceramic green sheet.

SOLUTION: A binder for producing an inorganic sintered body contains a block copolymer that has a unit comprising a polyvinyl butyral and a unit comprising poly (meth)acrylic acids.
