<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and display method whereby, when recording and reproducing a program including emergency information image in an image, only an image portion of the program excluding emergency information image is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A display device according to an embodiment includes a change detection part for receiving input of video signals and detecting an area where an image changes and an area where an image does not change, a determination part which determines, on the basis of the detection result of the change detection part, a boundary between an area for displaying a program image and an area for displaying an image other than the program image, and an enlargement processing part which performs enlargement processing, on the basis of the determination result of the determination unit, for the area for displaying the program image to display it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
