<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element capable of extracting light more efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element includes a transparent substrate 1, a transparent electrode 2 provided on the transparent substrate 1, and an organic light-emitting layer 3 provided on the transparent electrode 2. The transparent electrode 2 is formed by adding metal nanowires 5 and refractive index control particles 6 into a matrix resin 4. The refractive index n1 of the transparent substrate 1, the refractive index n2 of the transparent electrode 2, and the refractive index n3 of the organic light-emitting layer 3 are set to satisfy a relation of n1≤n2≤n3, n3-n1≤0.3. Total reflection of light can be minimized, respectively, on the boundary surface of the organic light-emitting layer 3 and the transparent electrode 2, and on the boundary surface of the transparent electrode 2 and the transparent substrate 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
