<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an incision by using a surgical blade. <P>SOLUTION: Surgical tools 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 include surgical blades 106, 212, 408, 508, and 604 configured to be moved to form incisions. The surgical tools also include wires 122, 222b, 224b, 412, 414, 512, 514, 610, and 612 configured to cause movement of the surgical blades. The surgical tools further include actuators 112, 208, 406, 506, and 606 configured to shorten lengths of the wires to cause the movement of the surgical blades. The surgical tool could be configured to move the surgical blade in a first direction and then in a second direction in response to a single shortening of the wire. Also, the wire could represent a first wire, the surgical tool could include a second wire, and the surgical tool could be configured to move the surgical blade in a first direction in response to shortening the first wire and to move the surgical blade in a second direction in response to shortening the second wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
