<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for making fast a driving speed which is apt to decrease owing to friction between an insulating film of an electrode and a liquid with respect to a liquid optical element such as a liquid lens using driving force of an EW type driving pump part. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid optical element has an optical effective part and a plurality of driving pump parts 108. A driving pump part has a holding part 106 holding ends of interfaces 103b, 103c, and 103d between liquids 101, 102 which are not mixed together,and an insulating electrode 104 arranged for the holding part. An end of an interface contacting the electrode 104 is displaced by controlling a voltage applied to the electrode to move the liquids, and the state of the optical effective part where a plurality of liquids including the liquids 101, 102 present communicating with the respective driving pump parts is changed to change optical characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
