<p>PURPOSE: A complex human interface device and a method thereof are provided to reduce costs and sizes of products by integrating a text input device and a pointing device with a human interface device. CONSTITUTION: Pointer location information input units(108a,108b) receive information about a pointer location from a user. Pointer execution command receiving units(101a,101b,102a,102b) receive a signal of a pointer execution command unit to perform functions in a pointer-located place. A mode conversion command receiving unit receives a signal of a mode converting unit(103) which converts a pointer location information input mode. A pointer location information transmitting unit transmits the information about the pointer location to a digital device connected with a human interface device. A pointer location information input area is located on the top of a text input area of a text input device composed of physical buttons.</p> |
