PURPOSE: A parking assistant system capable of using a projector is provided to light a photographing area by using a projector in a dark environment where an image of a camera is not able to be seen well, thereby helping a user to easily check the camera image visually. CONSTITUTION: A parking assistant system capable of using a projector is comprised of the followings: a projector(200) which projects on a road surface of outside a vehicle; a photographing module(300) which takes a picture of the projected area; and a control unit(400) which controls the projector to lighten the road surface and outputting the photographed image on the screen. A parking assistant method capable of using the projector is comprised of the followings steps: a step which controls the projector to lighten the road surface of outside the vehicle; and a step of receiving an external vehicle image which includes the road surface area lightened by the projector from the photographing module and outputting on the screen.
