The invention relates to a hydraulic pressing tool which is particularly suitable for pressing pipe fittings, and which has a hydraulic pump (26) connected to an electric motor. With the aid of the hydraulic pump (26), hydraulic fluid is pumped from a tank (48) into a piston chamber (20) to operate the hydraulic piston (16). The pressure prevailing in the piston chamber (20) is determined by means of a pressure sensor (34). When a pressure limit is reached, a solenoid valve (36) is opened by the control device (12) such that the hydraulic fluid flows back out of the piston chamber (12), through the channels (40, 56), and into a reservoir (38). |
