<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an amount of developer in a developing tank within a predetermined range, regardless of the fluctuations of the distribution of developer in the developing tank, in a developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor with two-component developer comprising a carrier and toner, supplying the developer comprising toner mixed with a small amount of carrier to the developing tank, according to the consumption of the toner, and discharging a fixed or more amount of developer retained in the developing tank includes: conveyance members 55 and 60 circulating the developer in a predetermined direction in developing tanks 41 and 42; drive means 62 rotationally driving the conveyance members 55 and 60; torque detection means 63 detecting the torque of the conveyance member 55 and 60 or current amount detection means detecting the current amount of the drive means 62; and control means controlling the rotational speed of the conveyance members 55 and 60 on the basis of the torque detected by the torque detection means 63 or a current value detected by the current value detection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
