<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for copying content permitted to be copied from a portable recording medium to a recording part of a recorder side, the control method thereof, and a content recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic equipment of an embodiment includes a reproduction part, a recording part, a detection part, and a control part. The reproduction part reproduces content from a loaded portable recording medium. The recording part copies and records the content reproduced by the reproduction part. The detection part detects that the content reproduced by the reproduction part includes a reproduction and copying control.
