<p>The invention relates to a beverage making apparatus and method. Said beverage making apparatus (100) comprises: a brewing module (101) for brewing a beverage by combining water with a brewing substance;a dispenser (103) being in fluid communication with the brewing module, for dispensing the beverage from the brewing module; a sensor (105) disposed inside the dispenser, for measuring the index of refraction or the electrical conductivity of the beverage flowing through the dispenser; and a controller (107) for determining the strength of the beverage according to the measurement data from the sensor. With the sensor disposed inside the dispenser, the properties associated with the strength of the brewed beverage can be measured in real time, which helps to determine the strength of the brewed beverage. Moreover, the apparatus and method may further control the strength of the brewed beverage according to the measurement result so as to brew beverages with consistent strength to meet requirements of different users.</p> |
