<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult conventionally to acquire suitable counter information without being delayed by job processing such as print or copy. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring device acquires counter information from an image forming apparatus and comprises transmission means which transmits a snapshot creation job to the image forming apparatus, reception means which receives a notification of completion of the snapshot creation job, and acquisition means which acquires a snapshot indicating the counter information from the image forming apparatus in responce to the reception of the notification of completion. The snapshot creation job is managed by the same cue of the image forming apparatus as a job relating to print processing and cancellation by general user authority is restricted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
