<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device that can avoid risk of hydrogen explosion, in cutting of magnesium, without the need of large scale modification of the existing cutting device and without sparing a long work time for preventing ignition. <P>SOLUTION: In the cutting device of the magnesium and the like including an inner space S in which a workpiece W made of magnesium is disposed and a cutting tool 20 for working the workpiece W in the inner space S, a recessed part 40 is provided on the lower side of the cutting tool 20 when working the workpiece W in the inner space S, a nitrogen gas supplying means 50 for supplying nitrogen gas N into the recessed part 40 is provided by disposing blowing ports 52 of nitrogen gas N in the recessed part 40 and the nitrogen gas N is blown by the blowing ports 52 toward the surface layer part SF of cutting chips DT collected in the recessed part 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
