<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for assuring security of print data of a business form or the like, particularly the printer for assuring the security of business form data by registering a user capable of instructing print for the print data of the business form or the like and preventing unauthorized print. <P>SOLUTION: The printer for assuring the security includes: first storage means for storing a form name and a security level of the form; second storage means for storing a user name and an access level of the user; and reception means for receiving the print data which is transmitted from a host device and includes the form name and the user name. Whether or not information of the form name included in the print data matches with the form name stored in the first storage means is determined, whether or not information of the user name matches with the user name stored in the second storage means is determined further, and when determined that they both match, the security level corresponding to the form name and the access level corresponding to the user name are compared, and print processing of a form based on the print data is performed under a specific condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
