<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device that is reduced in size and enables compact arrangement of a driving source, a transaxle, and the transfer device. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer device 35 has a housing 58 that houses a power switching mechanism, and the power switching mechanism is provided to surround a drive shaft 37R. The transfer device includes: a bevel gear shaft 59 that has a bevel gear 61 engaging with an output pinion 62 of a propeller shaft 38; a switching shaft 64 that is freely movably provided in a rotation axis direction of a front differential 33 and cannot relatively rotate with respect to the bevel gear shaft 59, and is freely movably provided in the rotation axis direction of a differential case 54 so as to be in an freely engagement and detachable manner to a boss 54b of the differential case 54; and a shift fork 65 and an electromagnetic solenoid 66 that face the front differential with sandwiching the bevel gear 61 in the rotation axis direction of the differential case 54, and move the switch shaft 64 in the rotation direction of the differential case 54.
