Provided are: an air belt such that a mesh webbing is sufficiently robust and can elongate sufficiently in the peripheral direction of a sac-shaped belt; and an air belt device provided with the air belt. The air belt (10) has: a folded body resulting from folding a sac-shaped belt (21) into a belt shape; and a mesh webbing (22) covering the folded body of the sac-shaped belt (21). The mesh webbing (22) for the most part does not elongate in the lengthwise direction of the air belt (10), and can flexibly elongate in the peripheral direction of the sac-shaped belt (21). The mesh webbing (22) comprises a knit material (30) that has been Russell knit, and the knit material (30) is arranged in a manner so that the direction of extension of the knot sections (36) between knit threads (31, 31) is in the lengthwise direction of the air belt (10). |
