Disclosed is a method for arranging contacts, comprising: a first terminal device sending a location sharing request to a second terminal device; the first terminal device receiving an acknowledgment message permitting location sharing from the second terminal device; the first terminal device obtaining location information of the second terminal device; and the first terminal device updating contact arrangement of contacts of the second terminal device in the first terminal device according to the changed location information of the second terminal device. Therefore, the order of arrangement of contacts can be updated dynamically without manual operation of a user, thereby improving user experience.
