<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Lorentz motor whose inclination and position control mechanism for controlling the inclination and position of a rotor and a stator can be downsized. <P>SOLUTION: A Lorentz motor is configured such that a stator and a rotor are placed oppositely and the rotor is configured to rotate with respect to the stator by a Lorentz force exerted therebetween. The rotor includes a rotor magnet that is subjected to multi-pole magnetization on a face thereof opposing to the stator. The stator includes a winding for rotation for generating the Lorentz force that rotates the rotor when an alternating current flows and a winding for controlling an inclination and a position for generating the Lorentz force for controlling the inclination and position of the rotor and stator when an alternating current flows. The winding for controlling an inclination and a position interacts with a magnetic flux in parallel with a face subjected to multi-pole magnetization at the boundary of a predetermined magnetic pole made by subjecting the rotor to multi-pole magnetization and a magnetic pole that is adjacent to the predetermined magnetic pole and has a different polarity to generate the Lorentz force for controlling an inclination and a position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
