摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current driven type color display device with high picture quality and low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A pixel circuit 20 includes an organic EL element 25, a driving FET 21, and a TFT 23 for switch provided between the gate and drain of the driving TFT 21. In writing to the pixel circuit 20, an initial voltage is applied to the gate terminal of the driving TFT 21, the TFT 23 for switch is controlled temporarily into a conductive state while the driving TFT 21 is conductive, and a data voltage corrected using the current gate terminal potential of the driving TFT 21 is applied to the gate terminal of the TFT 21. A person is sensitive to a difference of chromaticity of blue, but insensitive to a difference in chromaticity of green.
