<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blackout-responsive self-luminous sign which can be used for preventing a traffic accident by lighting and displaying a point name sign board at an intersection during nighttime even when power goes out as well as making a driver successfully identify existence of the intersection. <P>SOLUTION: A blackout-responsive self-luminous sign is provided with: a point name sign board 1 which is installed above an intersection with a point name indicating a name of a point of the intersection and a lighting fixture 13 which lights and displays the point name sign board 1 during nighttime. The blackout-responsive self-luminous sign is also provided with a power storage body 9. The power storage body 9 supplies power to an LED 14 of the backlight device 13. A day-night detector 7 outputs a daytime signal or a nighttime signal by detecting difference between day and night. When the nighttime signal is output from the day-night detector 7, the backlight device 13 lights up to illuminate and display the point name sign board 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
