<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a disk drive device and a motor thin while keeping a strength of fastening a shaft and a rotor holder. <P>SOLUTION: A motor is provided which can be accommodated in a casing having a top plate part. The motor is characterized in that: a rotary part includes a shaft, a rotor holder, a chuck mechanism and a rotor magnet; a stationary part includes a sleeve and a stator; the shaft has a large diameter portion which is inserted into the sleeve, and a small diameter portion which is positioned in an upper part of the shaft and the outer diameter of which is smaller than that of the large diameter portion; an upper end of the shaft protrudes upward rather than an upper end portion of an inner cylindrical part of the rotor holder and an upper face of the chuck mechanism; the small diameter portion is overlapped with the upper end of the inner cylindrical part in a radial direction; and adhesives are interposed between the inner cylindrical part and the large and small diameter portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
