摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging member which shows high charge injection efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A charging member includes a conductive base and conductive fiber having one end coupled to the base, and the fiber includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes entwined with one another, the carbon nanotubes being exposed at a tip part. The carbon nanotubes are charging members of 5 &mu;m or less in length and 400 or less in aspect ratio. The fiber is a charging member including resin as a base. In the charging member, the fiber has a core-sheath structure comprising a core including the entwined carbon nanotubes and resin as a base and a sheath covering the core and including resin on its root side, and does not have the sheath and has the carbon nanotubes, included in the core, exposed from a surface at its tip part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
