<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant coating applicator capable of applying lubricant to the surface of an image carrier so as to always keep an appropriate friction coefficient without wasting the lubricant more than necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant coating applicator according to the present invention comprises: lubricant supply means 52 that abuts on an outer peripheral surface of an image carrier 1 and, on the other hand, is rotatably driven in contact with a solid lubricant 51, thereby scraping the solid lubricant 51 into powder by means of a bristle member, and supplying it to the image carrier 1; supplied lubricant amount adjustment means for adjusting an amount of the lubricant 51 supplied to the image carrier 1 by the lubricant supply means 52; detection means S1 for detecting an amount of powdery lubricant scattered from the bristle member of the lubricant supply means 52; and control means for adjusting the amount of lubricant supplied to the image carrier by controlling the supplied lubricant amount adjustment means on the basis of the detected amount of lubricant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
