摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which improves user friendliness so as to ensure extendability of memory capacity at high speed and low costs. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing system keeps latency constant, and improves user friendliness so as to ensure extendability of memory capacity at high speed and low costs. The information processing system includes an information processing apparatus, a volatile memory and a nonvolatile memory. The information processing apparatus, the volatile memory and the nonvolatile memory are connected in series and the number of connection signals is reduced, thereby increasing the speed while keeping extendability of memory capacity. The information processing apparatus measures the latency and performs a latency correcting operation to keep the latency constant. When transferring data in the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory, error correction is performed, thereby attaining reliability improvement. The information processing system composed of a plurality of chips is configured as an information processing system module in which the chips are disposed while being laminated mutually, and connected by a ball grid array (BGA) or inter-chip wiring techniques. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
