<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, system, and method for controlling power transfer across an inductive power coupling. <P>SOLUTION: The signal transfer system controls power transfer across an inductive power coupling. The inductive power coupling comprises: a primary inductive coil wired to a power source; and a secondary inductive coil wired to an electric load. The signal transfer system comprises: at least one signal generator for generating a control signal; at least one transmitter for transmitting the control signal; and at least one receiver for receiving the control signal.
