<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refill for staple that can improve the operability of refill replacement while using such a mechanism as to press a sheet-like connected staples in a refill body by means of a pressing lever. <P>SOLUTION: The refill for staple includes: the refill body 12 for stacking and accommodating sheet-like connected staples 10; and a notch part 18 formed on a front surface 12a of the refill body 12. The refill body 12 is mounted on a cartridge 61 from the same direction as a sending direction to a beating part of the sheet-like connected staples 10. The notch part 18 is formed in such a shape that a pressing lever 66 which presses and biases the sheet-like connected staples 10 in the refill body 12 can pass while pressing and biasing the sheet-like connected staples 10, when detaching the refill body 12 mounted on the cartridge 61 from the cartridge 61.
