Electronic devices comprising a barrier film having at least one fluorinated surface, the barrier film having at least one fluorinated surface and its use as protection coating for the electronic device and the method for manufacturing thereof. The barrier film having at least one fluorinated surface according to the present invention can be obtained by a simple method, as well as in cost-efficient manner.
