The objective of the present invention is to achieve a computer system with which system performance is guaranteed by dynamically changing the method for arranging data in response to the system load. A computer system has multiple computers connected via a network, with work being executed using a database formed with the storage regions possessed by each computer. Data is arranged in each computer on the basis of a distribution algorithm for distributing and arranging the data. The computer system has: a load information management unit that manages load information pertaining to the load for each computer; an algorithm management unit that switches the distribution algorithm on the basis of the load information; and a rearrangement processing unit that rearranges the data stored in each computer on the basis of the newly selected distribution algorithm.
