<p>A hybrid vehicle (10) according to one aspect of the present invention generates driving torque determined on the basis of a selected traveling mode (for example, a power-oriented power mode or a fuel efficiency-oriented normal mode) and an acceleration operation amount by an internal combustion engine (20), a motor generator (MG2), and the like when the shift position is a traveling position. Meanwhile, when the shift position is a neutral position, the vehicle (10) maintains the rotation speed of the engine (20) at a constant value (that includes an engine rotation speed of zero while the engine (20) is stopped) regardless of the accelerator operation amount. When the accelerator operation amount becomes a threshold accelerator operation amount or more while the neutral position is selected, the vehicle (10) provides information that the neutral position is selected to a driver. The threshold accelerator operation amount is determined according to the traveling mode.</p> |
